Hey Friends!

With the Holidays in full swing, Camp Hammer wants you to remember the God who created the heavens and the earth, the one whom this holiday season is in honor of.  December is a great time at Camp because it is a season for the staff to take time and reflect on the amazing things God has done in the past year.  We are so thankful for God’s faithfulness in 2008.  Just a few of the amazing things that happened in 2008 are; over 100 young people made choices to follow Jesus!  Also, Camp was able to fill it’s pond for the first time in 4 years!  Obviously, those two examples are a small piece of the incredible things God did in 2008.  This month take some time and remember the amazing ways God has blessed you in the past year.  We are excited for what 2009 holds, and hope that you will choose to spend another week, or weekend with us at Camp Hammer!  We look forward to serving you, and this year tell your friends about the incredible ministry here at Camp Hammer!

Well, Camp Hammer is ready for the winter.  We have finished our busy Future Life Retreat season (Check out the pictures on the website), and have entered into Summer 2009 preperations.  09′ is sure to be a summer like no other.  If you came to Camp last summer in 08′, we had a blast with you.  We hope that you will come again in 09′, and bring a friend, you won’t want to miss this years activities.  If you are in High School now, don’t let that stop you from coming back to camp for a few more summers.  We offer our Apostle program, and this will be the third, and most exciting High School Week yet.  Keep your eyes out for more info on the Website, and also look for the 09′ brochure in December.

Well summer has ended and the Fall is in full swing. What are we doing at Camp Hammer? Well, things haven’t slowed down yet. Our year round staff is hard at work with Weekend retreat groups and Future Life Retreats. The summer of 2008 was one like no other. We had a pond with funoeing, rope swings, zip lines, theatrical night games, caring counselors, amazing campers, and all of this in the middle of the Redwoods. If you are reading this and you came as a camper this summer, we hope school is going well, and we look forward to seeing you again in the summer of 2009. If you worked here or had a child come through this summer, or your just checking us out, we hope that you too have found a sense of God’s peace in this fall season. Many Blessings!

Camp Hammer is in full swing getting ready for this upcoming summer.  We are really excited to host hundreds of kids from all over Santa Cruz County as well as the Bay Area.  In this off season we have rebuilt our BMX Course, built some amazing new sets for this years night games, and have even begun filling the pond, which will be filled with fish before summer begins!  This is a big deal because the Camp Hammer pond hasn’t been filled in 3 YEARS! And hasn’t had fish for over 5 YEARS!  Get ready for an amazing summer, and if you haven’t registered yet, hurry up and do it!  The Time is Now!
