Besides the spiritual and emotional rewards, our summer staff members are also compensated by a weekly stipend (beginning at $170 per week, depending on the position). Year-round staff salaries are negotiable. So, with all of this awaiting you, what are you waiting for?
Summer Program
Camp Hammer's summer program is a high-energy, cutting-edge ministry that impacts over 1,300 kids during its 8-week season. Every summer, our facilities come alive with swarms of kids who spend each week enjoying relevant messages, dynamic music, exciting rides, competitive team-building, fabulous food, unique night games, and much, much more! Their experience is shaped largely by our summer staff, which is why we take great care in selecting mature, highly motivated Christian leaders. We guarantee your summer here will be a life-changing experience!
Your Commitment
Each summer staff member must commit to the entire summer of ministry. 2008 Staff orientation begins on Monday, June 16; all staff members are required to work through Tuesday, August 19. A regular camp week begins on Sunday at 3:00 and runs through the following Saturday at noon. Staff members will all be off between Saturday noon and Sunday at 3:00.
Qualifications
In order to join our summer ministry team here at Camp Hammer, we require that you meet a few of our basic qualifications. You must be an active Christian. You must be a high school graduate, or entering your senior year of high school and have been through our APOSTLE program. You must also have a strong desire to serve! Every potential staff member must fill out our online application, submit personal references, be subject to a background check and be interviewed by one of our directors.
